Scotty Elliott - Northern Cape
I started playing bowls at the ripe young age of 10.
I used to go with my father every time he went to play bowls and whenever I got an opportunity, before the game or during the tea break, I would be on the green learning to play.
It wasn't until I played my first tournament and won, that the bowls bug really bit. A knee injury at school stopped me from being able to carry on with all my other sports, so I took up bowls more seriously.
Instead of doing homework, I would be on the green everyday practising. I enjoy every chance I get to play, be it social, club competition or district competition.
I have been playing with Taylor bowls pretty much right through my bowls career starting with a Taylor Vector VS, until I came across the Taylor Ace and have not looked back since.
I find the Taylor Ace helps me a lot, because the consistent gradual finish still allows me to come around bowls.
